At Rissons, we are committed to sourcing our food locally wherever possible. This not only keeps our carbon footprint to a minimum, but ensures that our menus are prepared using the freshest of Scottish ingredients.
We are in the enviable position of having our own gardener, Robert Marshall, who ensures we have fresh produce from our very own garden.
Our Game and unusual dry goods such as flours and fresh yeast for our bread are supplied by Braehead Foods of Kilmarnock who are the top suppliers of game to Scottish Restaurants.
The essentials of a Scottish Breakfast, Ayrshire Bacon and pork sausages are obtained from Robertsons of Ardrossan.
Geographically, our closest and one of our most impressive suppliers are St Brides Poultry, located only a couple of miles away. Robert and Anne-Jane Morris who consistently provide a quality of product and service second to none run the company.

The Fish People, in Glasgows Southside, are committed to providing us with high quality sustainable and organic produce. The company is run by Andy Bell who is quality focussed and must be one of the hardest working men around. His working day would put most Chefs to shame.

Harris Farm are a local farm located in near Strathaven which specialise in ethically produced, free rangle meats including Boer Goat, Lamb, Pork, Bacon and Mutton to name a few.
Strathaven is fortunate to have its own local brewery. Strathaven Ales produces high quality, unique, award winning, craft ales from its local situation on the banks of the Avon, just outside Strathaven. At Rissons we are proud to be able to offer a wide range of their ales which are also often used in some of our dishes.
Our newest supplier sees the return of an old friend, John Harris, who previously provided fine wines from his own company. Now complementing the team at Wine Importers Ltd, his extraordinary knowledge and customer understanding ensures that we are supplied with a range of wines that no other restaurant in the area can match.
